Yvonne Orji partnered with T.J Maxx to create a campaign called “The Maxx You Project,” an open-for-all sponsorship program to help six women get a head start in their life goals. The contest winner will receive a grand prize of $50,000 and mentorship from Orji herself. Also, five finalists will be awarded $10,000 each and will receive mentorship from the project’s partner life coach.
“The Maxx You Project,” is accepting applications up until Aug. 26. Those interested simply have to convince the retail giant and Orji of their dream with a video application. “Show us your personality, express yourself freely, and convince us you’re the best fit to be Yvonne’s mentee,” the program’s website states.
“I’m excited to join the Find Your Maxx with T.J.Maxx campaign, not only to encourage women to support and empower one another, but also for women to embrace their most unapologetic selves,” Yvonne Orji said. “I love that Find Your Maxx is giving women tangible tools to help them break down the barriers to self-prioritization and let their authenticity shine.”
Yvonne Orji is popularly known for her role as Molly Carter in the TV show “Insecure,” which ended after five seasons. She has also appeared in the 2018 movie “Night School” with Kevin Hart and most recently starred in a Netflix film, “Vacation Friends,” opposite Lil Rel and John Cena. Orji also authored her first book Bamboozled by Jesus: How God Tricked Me Into the Life of My Dreams.
