Chrystle Wilson and Joseph Cadet Jr. were married on Nov. 22, 2014 at the Regency Manor and Banquet Center in Southfield.
Chrystle is a preservation coordinator at Five Brothers Default Management Solutions in Warren. Joseph is in management at Fiat Chrysler in Detroit. The pair lives in Sterling Heights, and they spent their honeymoon in the Bahamas. Here, Chrystle shares details from their wedding.
The dress
"The dress was a satin A-line, princess-shaped Maggie Sottero gown with a sweetheart neckline, natural waist and chapel train from Blaga's Bridal Shoppe in Sterling Heights."
The bridesmaids
"The bridesmaids wore long strapless oasis satin dresses from David's Bridal in Dearborn. The dress had a sweetheart neckline, structured pleating and a trumpet skirt a chic trumpet finish."
The rings
"His is white-gold-with-matte-finish classic wedding band from Zales in Sterling Heights. Mine is a custom piece from Harris Gems in Royal Oak with engraved diamond-encrusted siding. It has a cathedral setting with a north and south accent diamond to complement the solitaire centered diamond."
The cake
"The cake was a four-tier cake trimmed with crystal ribbon. The flavors included strawberry shortcake, yellow and lemon cake with a pearlized buttercream icing. It was from Linda's Cakes based in Canton."
The flowers
"I chose a red rose. I wanted something simple but meaningful, and the rose itself is said to be a symbol of love and passion. The flowers were by Kingdom Weddings based in Detroit."
Most memorable moment
"Walking into the reception with a room full of smiling people cheering. It was a great feeling."
