adea is back on the silver screen with the comedy horror film "Tyler Perry’s BOO! A Madea Halloween," and Tyler Perry visited the Emagine Theater in Royal Oak for a red carpet pre-screening. The ninth film in the franchise, the story follows Madea on Halloween night as she watches over her great-niece and a group of bothersome teens. Her night takes a spine-chilling turn as she fights off killers, paranormal poltergeists, ghost, ghouls and zombies. As usual, Perry wrote, directed and produced the film, as well as starring as the beloved title character.

“I love the [Detroit] people more than anything,” Perry tells BLAC. “That's what I love about Detroit: the people. They hold you down. They’re the real folks. They let you know if you're good, if you're bad, if you’re right, if you're wrong. So that's what I love about Detroit.”

You can see "Tyler Perry’s BOO! A Madea Halloween" in theaters on October 21. In the meantime, you can check out the trailer below.
