t was the right time and the right fit for Christopher and TaNisha Prater to bring Thrift on the Avenue to Midtown. Running one of the only high-end thrift stores in the area, the couple continues to tailor a taste for high-quality fashion and affordable prices in the Motor City.
"(We seek) to be the fashion equivalent of this 'new Detroit,'" says Christopher: "A perfect blend of vintage and classic enlivened by the new."
The store regularly plays host to shopping and styling events and even coordinates its own fashion shoots with local fashionistas-all designed to invite local residents to explore the thriftier side of style. And while it may be true that clothes make the man, these clothiers are making a marvelous mark on Detroit and that never goes out of style.
