The sassy streetwear brand opens its latest brick-and-mortar in the hip suburb.

Melody Parker, owner of the "street chic" clothing line The Fresher Brand, just opened her newest brick-and-mortar in Royal Oak. She specializes in sexy, urban streetwear like cropped hoodies and jumpsuits, most of which feel very pro-female. Some of Parker's most popular pieces – and the ones that garnered her the most attention when she was first starting out – are the T-shirts that have "Such a Fucking Lady" scrawled across the front.

Parker spent nearly four years in Midtown before moving to this spot, which she shares with boyfriend Anthony Temple aka Koolade's brand AYV. "We wanted a good location with a mix of people," says Parker, adding that she hopes to expand to more locations and collaborate with other artists and corporate leaders.

An emphasis on timeless, multifunctional pieces is the focus at The Fresher Brand. Parker says she makes clothes for every aspect of the busy-yet-fashionable woman's life. She says, "She's 'Fresher' because she has style. We don't do trendy things." The ultimate goal? "To take over the world, one T-shirt at a time."
