50 Cent to Star and Produce Horror Flick, “Skill House”

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has signed on to produce the horror film “Skill House” under his G-Unit Film & Television company, and he has agreed to star in the film. The movie will explore social media and influencer culture, including what people are willing to do for clicks, likes, and fame. The film is under production at a TikTok collab house — referring to large piece of real estate, like a mansion, where several influencers live and shoot content where the influencers share rent or are sponsored by a talent agency — named the “Sway House” located in Los Angeles. Deadline reports that it is conceived as first film in a series and will be directed by Josh Stolberg, the filmmaker behind “Spiral” (2021) and “Jigsaw” (2017), and the movie is scheduled to be released next year, 2023.

“This film is bursting with mavericks of entertainment, many of them spanning multiple genres and platforms,” said Ryan Kavanaugh of Proxima Media, the company behind the movie, said. “From a global rap and hip-hop music icon to a businessman, actor, writer, and producer – if anyone knows a thing or two about breaking the boundaries, it’s 50 Cent. I’m honored to work alongside him as we watch Bryce do the same with his career.”

50 Cent is widely known for his work in the music industry, particularly his legacy and impact in hip hop music through his rap career. He has released around 60 singles where he’s the the lead artist and many more as featured artist. He has also starred and produced numerous films and TV shows. Most notably, he was the executive producer who also starred in several seasons of the hit series “Power” (2014), a crime drama which concluded in 2020 and its spinoffs “Power Book II: Ghost,” “Power Book III: Raising Kanan,” and “Power Book IV: Force,” which all are still in production.
