S&S Intimates in Dearborn specializes in hard-to-find bra sizes

eet your fairy bra fitters: Sharhona Anderson and Shedra Rashad. These bosom buddies have run Dearborn’s award-winning S&S Intimates since July 2014.

The ladies united over a shared headache. Both larger breasted, they were on a quest to find undergarments with proper support and just the right fit.

“Not being able to find cute things that look nice in our size was a big inspiration behind starting our business,” Rashad says.

S&S has that covered on all fronts. The inviting store is filled with dainty racks of alluring pieces. Their specialties include hard-to-find bra sizes and matching sets in all sizes, along with expert fitting, customizing and tailoring.

The pair’s passion is matched by professional smarts. S&S combines Anderson’s business background with Rashad’s 30-plus years of retail experience. It’s a winning mix for their patrons. Just last year, the shop was voted best lingerie store in a viewers choice poll by local Channel 4 WDIV.

“We didn’t even know we were nominated,” Anderson says. “After we found out, we announced it to our customers – and we won.”

Beyond bras, S&S sells shapewear, swimsuits, unique panty designs and jewelry – and offers ladies nights, private parties, bridal packages and a bra-of-the-month club. But, perhaps most importantly, its owners educate women on the priority of how you dress underneath your clothes.

“We are not just a bra store,” Rashad says. “This is a place where you can come and unleash from within. We are like your bra doctors.”
