Rocki’s Reality Podcast Celebrates Artists Sydney James, Phil “Fresh” Simpson & Others

Rocki’s Reality Podcast, hosted and produced by BLAC contributor Raquelle “Rocki” Harris, that spotlights Detroit’s finest is celebrating an all-new season with a Special “Pre-Black Friday” Artists Showcase on Thursday, November 17, 6-10 p.m., at CO.OLOGY located at 18940 E. Nine Rd in Eastpointe.

Guests in person and viewers online will experience the dynamic artistry of Sydney G. JamesPhil “Fresh” Simpson, Benreadygraphics, Reg Cybernetics, Ashley McFadden, Jasmine Graham and  CaCa’s Canvases. Rocki’s Reality will simulcast live 7-9 p.m., on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, with a roundtable discussion as the artists share about their respective careers and upcoming projects.  

“This showcase is a long time vision that has finally come to fruition. I’m grateful to feature globally renowned  artists such as Sydney and Phil, while also highlighting dope artists like Reg and my hubby, Benreadygraphics,”  says host and producer of Rocki’s Reality, Raquelle “Rocki” Harris. “We’ve come together to uplift each other and our city, by helping Art Road continue its mission for kids who attend Detroit schools.” 

Guests who attend in person can buy some of the art on display for their holiday gifting, or existing art collection. They will also enjoy sounds from DJ Ric Flair, small plates from Le Petit Dejeuner, fresh organic  juices from Essential Thingz LLC and sweet treats from Flavor For The Soul and The Better Detroit Brownie  Co. Those over the age of 21 can enjoy complimentary cocktails from Duke & Dame Whiskey. 

“This showcase means the world to us. It’s a collective of dope Detroit artists coming together to harness the power of their own art and in turn, making art class possible for the next generation of Detroit creatives,” expressed Carol Hofgartner, founder and executive director of Art Road. “As our  art students say: Art is Life, Art is Everything, Art is Forever!”
