Relay For Life Detroit invites all to walk for a cure this weekend

So far, more than $40,000 has been raised in advance of this weekend’s events.

Participants will take to the streets of westside Detroit this weekend in the continued hopes of finding a cure for cancer.

The 15th annual Relay For Life of Detroit kicks off at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Marygrove College, where more than 30 fundraising teams will walk for a cure.

All are invited to participate in the weekend’s events. The event begins with an opening ceremony on Saturday with a walk later that morning. There will be a candlelight ceremony at 10 p.m. on Saturday, and a closing ceremony on 10 a.m. Sunday.

So far, more than $40,000 has been raised in advance of this weekend’s events.
