A new party bus for kids is making the rounds in metro Detroit. Purposed Party brings its decked-out bus to your location where girls get on board with their friends for hours of self-contained fun. Themed party options – available for birthdays, playdates, Girl Scout gatherings and other events – include a "ParTEA" with tea and fine china, a "Pamper Party" with facials and makeovers or even a PJ party with karaoke and a selfie station.
Launched in September by owner Loretta Forbes, Purposed Party is based in Southfield and emphasizes empowerment and building self-esteem – encouraging girls to be "their own kind of beautiful. I truly believe when girl power is activated, girls can change the world," Forbes says. "There is no power like girl power." Just like video gaming truck parties, Purposed Party packages include party staff and all necessary supplies – guests just need to board the bus and be ready for some fun.
