hree women who say they were discriminated against by a BluFin Sushi general manager plan to hold a protest to speak out against their treatment.
TaNisha Prater was at the Grosse Pointe Farms restaurant Saturday night with two other friends when she says they were racially discriminated against and asked to leave to make room for other customers. Prater’s 15-minute Facebook Live video of the incident’s aftermath has reached over 72,000 views.
“We resolve to leverage the power of our one voice by adding it to the sea of others who speak the same thing. We love our city and we resolve to fight until this issue is resolved. Who’s with me?” the Facebook event states.
The protest is scheduled to take place 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at BluFin Sushi.
