An innovative conference for Detroit women to learn more about the fashion and beauty industries makes its debut this weekend.

The Fashion + Beauty Summit, hosted by Posh and Popular LLC, will provide women with the “tools they will need to successfully manifest their destiny” in the world of beauty and fashion, with pro tips from leading figures in both industries. The conference, billing itself as the first of its kind, is on Saturday from 8 a.m.-7 p.m.

“I am so excited to introduce metro Detroit ‘fashionistas’ to some of the biggest names in the fashion and beauty industry,” says Kimberly Brown-Dobine, creative director of Posh and Popular LLC. “We have an entire day scheduled of networking, empowerment and fab giveaways in store.”

Guests at the daylong conference include Detroit native Nicole Melton, a former beauty editor at Essence Magazine; MiaRay of Confessions of a Glam-Aholic and Arian Simone of Fun Fly Fabulous.

At the conference, attending fashionistas will be treated to live beauty demonstrations with make-up artists, tips for beauty and fashion bloggers and “beauty branding 101.”

The conference will be at suite 110 in the Elevator Lofts and tickets are available at Posh and Popular’s website here, ranging from $90-$130. For more information, visit www.poshandpopularsummit.com.
