People for Palmer Park Named as Finalist for $50K grant from Tom’s of Maine

eople for Palmer Park has been selected as a finalist in the Tom’s of Maine “50 States for Good” contest and has a chance to win up to $50,000.

The “50 States for Good” program seeks to help local nonprofits addressing community needs and engaging volunteers to get the work done.

The organization with the most public support will receive $50,000 in sponsorship funding, five others will each receive $20,000.

The money would support PFPP’s effort to restore the park’s trails and pathways and also go toward the addition of nature and historical markers.

To vote for PFPP, the only finalist from Michigan, visit Tom of Maine’s Facebook page now through Tuesday, Oct. 9.
