Noel Night: 10 Must-See Stops

hristmas comes but once a year, but only on Noel Night is it hip. In its 41st year, the annual event, which starts at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 this year, invites metro Detroiters to discover the inner throngs of Midtown Detroit while celebrating the season and the city. But with more than 200 performances and 75-plus places to peruse, how does one choose? Here's BLAC's suggested schedule of 10 must-see stops this year …

5:15 p.m.

Holiday Bread
Break bread over an Urban Stringz II performance inside Avalon International Breads.

5:30 p.m.

Christmas Time
The Sugar Snaps jazz duo plays a program of classic jazz standards at Shinola for a swingin' good time.

6:15 p.m.

Singing Sisters
The Detroit School of Arts "Achievers" Ladies Ensemble sounds like angels in this performance at The Scarab Club.

6:45 p.m.

Yuletide Yoga
Nimbleness-the gift that keeps on giving- is available in certificate form at Bikram Yoga Midtown, where they will have a live hot yoga demonstration. 

7:30 p.m.

Motown Christmas
You don't want to miss the Motown Nutcracker show at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History.
