The smooth and savory taste of LS Cream Liqueur was inspired by cremas, a sweet and creamy Haitian ancestral recipe that has been handed down for generations. The naturally composed beverage which is kosher, low lactose, gluten and nut free, is the first black owned liqueur company.
Profoundly served as a spirit of the holidays and during social gatherings, the drink— founded by Stevens Charles and Myriam Jean-Baptiste, has been held near and dear to the hearts of the people and ancestry from which it is derived. Spending their time traveling back and forth between Montreal and the States with their families who migrated to Detroit, Charles and Jean-Baptiste desired a change from their corporate jobs which led to them studying Stevens’ late grandmother’s handwritten cremas recipe that the family cherished for decades, eventually, introducing them to the world.
The couple is dedicated to connecting all black people through tradition, heritage and community!
“It was important for us to come to Detroit because we knew our people were there, Detroit was one of the places that we saw traction in sales when we first began,” says Charles.
Since LS Cream launched in October 2015, they have received multiple awards for its distinctive taste and quality, including receiving a Gold medal at the prestigious Wines and Spirits Wholesalers of America Competition held in Las Vegas.
