Heart 2 Heart Relationship Talks Welcomes Discussions on Sex, Love and Relationships

Few spaces exist offline where we can pose real, no-holds-barred questions about love, sex and relationships. It’s why Timothy Hill and Kesia Shine cofounded Heart 2 Heart Relationship Talks, an open forum where real people can ask those burning questions, free from judgement.

“We continually tell them, ‘No topic is taboo,'” Shine says. Every Monday night, a panel – which usually consists of a comedian, a licensed relationship professional and a media or public personality of some sort – meet and tackle questions anonymously submitted beforehand, during an opening talent showcase.

“But then we flip it on the audience, and the audience has a minute to respond,” says Shine, who also hosts under the moniker Xanthi. Past panels have included Detroit musicians Sada Baby and Neisha Nishae, and Comic J Will.

“Like, ‘How do you get your husband to open up in the bedroom?’ That’s not something you can just take anywhere, but you can bring it to a Heart 2 Heart, and it is talked about, and people get really good advice, not only from the panel but from the audience,” Shine says.

“We all want to do our relationships better. We’re trying to break that barrier.” Hill adds, “Our following has gone up pretty fast.” Expect more notable names, cheekier questions and, perhaps, a TV deal forthcoming.
