Elite Mr. Alan’s opening new store on Six Mile and Grand River

The chain of shoe stores is planning to open seven new locations in the coming years.

Elite Mr. Alan’s will open a new location at the intersection of McNichols Road and Grand River Avenue, the latest in development in Detroit’s Brightmoor, Grandmont and Rosedale Park neighborhoods.
The chain of shoe stores will have a grand opening for its newest location in November 1 and will launch an expansion of the Redford-based brand, which plans to open six additional stores in the coming years.
“The grand opening of the Detroit store will be a pivotal launching point for our planned expansion which begins this year,” said CEO Jacob Bishop. “We are looking forward to bringing our innovation, premium product and customer service to more metro Detroit communities and throughout the state.”
Elite Mr. Alan’s currently operates 12 stores in Metro Detroit, Grand Rapids and Flint.
The Six Mile/Grand River area, bolstered by a new Meijer grocery store on the site of the old Redford High School, has seen an uptick of business activity, including an expansion of the Detroit Vegan Soul brand into Rosedale Park.
