Viceland, a new cable channel available through some distributors, will be airing a documentary on Detroit tonight, viewing the city through the lens of some hip-hop ambassadors.
Big Sean, Danny Brown, Dej Loaf and more talk about how their music relates to the city’s current climate – not unlike “That B.E.A.T.,” which focused on bounce music in New Orleans, another black city in crisis.
This documentary is brought to Viceland by Noisey; both Viceland and Noisey, a music publication, are divisions of the rapidly expanding Vice Media. It airs at 10 p.m. tonight.
