Congratulations to the Detroit Renaissance High School Chess Team, who just won the national championship for 2023!

The Detroit Renaissance High School Chess Team have just won the National Chess Championship for 2023! The team emerged victorious after competing against over 400 students and 67 other teams in their division at the K-12 Chess Nationals held in Washington, D.C.
This is an incredible achievement that reflects the hard work, dedication, and talent of these young chess players.
Winning the national championship is no small feat. Chess requires hours of practice, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the game. The Renaissance High School Chess Team has clearly demonstrated all of these qualities and more.
