Detroit Pistons and McDonald’s Team Up to Feed Front-Line Workers

Now through the end of May, first responders and front-line workers are invited to stop into any McDonald’s in Detroit for breakfast on the house. The Detroit Pistons and McDonald’s launched their collaborative Motor City Frontline Meals program on May 11. 

Health care workers, Detroit Police Department officers, Detroit Fire Department firefighters, paramedics and EMTS, and Detroit Department of Transportation bus drivers can go into any of the city’s 28 McDonald’s locations and grab a breakfast to go.

“First responders and workers on the front lines are keeping our community safe and helping Detroit move forward during this crisis,” says Detroit Pistons owner Tom Gores. “Their commitment in the face of adversity is inspiring and we are grateful for everything they do.”

From open to 10:30 a.m. every day, those most essential of essential workers can choose a breakfast bundle for free courtesy of the Detroit Pistons. Up for offer with a valid employee ID is either an Egg McMuffin or McChicken Griddles, hash browns, and any size pop, coffee or tea. 

Detroit Police Chief James E. First responders are my true heroes and your generosity is much appreciated.”
