The NFL Alumni Detroit Chapter’s Annual Detroit Draft Party returns on April 27, 2023, after a pandemic-induced hiatus.
Founded by Scott Hankins, Reggie Lee, and Ron Rice, The Detroit Draft Party is a charity event that brings together sports fans, entertainers, and local and national celebrities to celebrate sports and the City of Detroit – raising money for the Student Athlete Scholarship Fund of the NFL Alumni Detroit Chapter.
The charity event will be held at The Eastern in Detroit, Michigan, from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and aims to raise funds for the Student Athlete Scholarship Fund of the NFL Alumni Detroit Chapter.
An Exciting Night with Celebrities and NFL Alumni
Presented by BDO and hosted by Detroit Lions Defensive Tackle Alim McNeill, the event will feature some of Detroit’s favorite pro athletes, personalities, celebrity hosts, NFL Alumni, and plenty of screens to watch the 88th Annual NFL Draft unfold live.
“The Detroit Draft Party gives fans, players, celebrities, and NFL alums a rare opportunity to come together for an exciting evening that helps local student athletes get the scholarships they need to attend college.”
-Peter Chryplewicz, NFL Detroit Alumni Chapter President and former Lions tight end
Funding Scholarships for Local Athletes
Proceeds from the Detroit Draft Party will benefit the Student Athlete Scholarship Fund of the NFL Alumni Detroit Chapter, supporting local athletes in their pursuit of higher education. The NFL Alumni’s traditional mission of “Caring for Kids” has raised more than $1.5 million for youth-related charities through its 35 regional chapters across the country.

“It’s important for me to embrace our communities. This scholarship fundraiser does just that… So, join me, support our efforts, and have fun doing it.”
