After announcing her new deal with Republic Records and Uptown Records, Ciara has released her new summer single “JUMP.” Following the announcement, she teased her single for a week until it dropped last July 8, 2022. “JUMP” officially marks the artist’s debut for Republic Records and Uptown Records and in partnership with her own label, Beauty Marks Entertainment. The single sets the pace for the next chapter in the musician’s career.
“JUMP” bursts with a bang. It’s a frenetic blend of beats that exudes confidence coupled with catchy verses. Then, the unshakable chorus announces, “It’s a party when I make that thing jump.” The single is peppered with her classic dancefloor-ready R&B just with the added hit uncontainable energy and spirit. Hyping it up, the viral hip hop group Costra Contra spits a slick verse.
“I am thrilled to partner with Uptown/Republic Records through my own label imprint Beauty Marks Entertainment,” Ciara told Billboard. “[Republic co-president] Wendy [Goldstein] and I have been in discussion to work together for some time and the enthusiasm that her and the entire team have expressed over this new project marks an exciting new chapter in my career. I am grateful to be able to continue my mission of making the world dance with a team I admire, who are at the forefront of empowering artists.”
The Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter has been in the music industry for 17 years. She has sold 23 million records and 22 million singles worldwide. Her songs includes the chart-topping hits “Goodies,” “Ride,” “Oh,” “1, 2 Step,” “I Bet,” and “Level Up.” Ciara not only a prolific performer. She is also a philanthropist. She sits on the board of director of the Why Not You Foundation. The charity is dedicated to fighting poverty through education, and youth empowerment.
