BLAC Fridays Playlist: Show Me Love

We’ve had so much fun this week; appearing on Fox2 News with 2022 BLAC StyleMaker Maurielle Lue to showcase all the Black-owned brands in our Holiday Gift Guide and spending time with more than 20 brands learning about their businesses.

Black people really have it going on; show us some love. Shop with Black folks, eat with Black folks, go see Black folks entertain because we need that love desperately.

This week, BLAC received horrible news about DJ Twitch (Ellen’s DJ) and his untimely death by suicide. It’s heartbreaking to know that there are still people out there who feel unloved and unworthy. That is why we work to show love by highlighting excellence in Black culture.

Show your love to the 22 Black-Owned luxury brands if your feeling high end or grab a cigar and join a lively conversation at Byrd’s in the North End. Oh, and don’t forget to catch Tina: The Tina Turner Musical at the Detroit Opera House before it ends on Dec 18. Learn about Detroit’s non-profits who are a bit healthier after receiving large donations from Mackenzie Scott (Bezos’ ez), as well as the Detroiter who won Apple’s App of the year for her “Dot’s Home” app about life in Detroit.
