Has your voice been stifled this week? Has someone or a group of people told you to be quiet or not given you the platform to voice your opinion? Your time to say what you gotta say is coming soon. Not just because we’re about to vote in the midterm elections next week but also because social media is giving so many of us a voice. So we are listening.

We’re listening to the film companies making documentaries about our heroes like Stephen Curry and Magic Johnson, we are listening to the breast cancer survivors on how to stay strong and resilient. We hear you lash artists and black-owned sex toy brands; we know that you’re out thee making noise and staking your claim and we hear you. Say what you gotta say.

We want to especially listen to the artist in our midst, the visual artists like muralist Bakpak Durden and all of the musical artists that released music today; Rihanna, SZA, Busta Rhymes, even Kodak Black and Chloe. So pay special attention to our BLAC Playlist this week cause there’s lots of new music in there. And get your hands dirty in the kitchen with our take on Black Folks Sweet Potato Pie. Let us know how it turns out.

Until next week;

Say It Loud and Proud!
