BLAC Fridays Playlist: Detroit Forever

It’s Friday and while America is headed to the movies to see ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” BLAC is still enthralled with its love affair with Detroit.

There are so many reasons and for some many people, things in Detroit are red hot as we used to say in college at Spelman. We’d scream at the top of our lungs at the parties’ “Detroit is Red Hot!” and it still is. So many things are happening in Detroit that reflect that the city is thriving. We love and adore the fictional location of Wakanda but today; we’re screaming “Detroit Forever!” and we mean it.

This week, BLAC features so many booming Detroit personalities and businesses like; Lifestyle guru, Mia Ray, owner of Glam-Aholic is bringing her fierce retail style to Woodward this holiday season for the popups best popup experience. Detroiter Anita Baker is back at it again, singing sweet love songs to her millions of fans as she announced her 2023 tour; get your tickets cause it will sell out.  

We want to especially patronize the edible cannabis brands that offer alternatives to over the counter meds and our top black owned Brick and Mortar stores that offer that in person shopping experience cause we know that shopping is always better when it’s Black.
