Octavia Mingerink is the Artist of the Week. The Artist of Pretty in Ink Press + Studio — is an afro enthusiast printmaker, illustrator, graphic designer, wife and cat mom based in Grand Rapids by way of Chicago, IL.
Evident through her telling printmaking, Mingerink’s business is “Powered by liberation and reclamation” as declared on her site. Wearing the hat of illustrator, Mingerink’s blended skill and work ranges from hand lettering to commissioned portraits. Her project collaborations and partnerships include Nappy Head Club, Science Superstars, Michigan Breastfeeding Network, Grand Rapids Public Library, Br. David Darst Center, and more.
