This week’s #ArtistOfTheWeek goes to Jamaal Barber, @jbarberstudio. An artist and printmaker exploring Black identity, Barber’s primary medium is printmaking. His wood cuts and mixed media prints have been featured in many local Atlanta shows, including the Decatur Arts Festival, Atlanta Print Biennial Show and more. He’s also done work for Twitter, Penguin Random House, Emory University, Black Art in America as well as The New York Times. As the host of Studio Noize Podcast, a platform highlighting contemporary Black Artists and creators of the diaspora, Barber also showcases his fellow artistic peers, while highlighting different techniques, practices and inspirations.
