Author Carl Weber visits Oak Park on Wednesday

Popular fiction author Carl Weber makes a Detroit-area stop on Wednesday to promote his latest book, “Man on the Run.”
Weber will read, sell and sign copies at 6:30 p.m. at the Oak Park Library, hosted by The Book Beat. “Man on the Run” follows the tale of a prison escapee – wrongfully convicted of a crime he never committed – who wants to clear his name and protect his family.
In addition to his own works, Weber is publisher of Urban Books LLC, the country’s largest black-owned publishing house where he’s published 2,500 books by various authors. Three of his novels – “The Man in 3B,” “The Preacher’s Son” and “The Choir Director” – have been made into independent films.
