Fall is upon us, and every year without fail one question is hotly debated in the world of the fashionable; “Can I wear white after Labor Day?”

We’ve all heard the rule that once Labor Day arrives, you should be packing up your white clothes. But why? What person made that up and who died to make them the Fall Fashion Pope? With little to no explanation on why this weird rule ever existed, these days stylish people everywhere are choosing to defy the status quo and keep their white fashions on display in their closet all year around.

Instead of wondering “Can I?” when it comes to wearing white after the first week of September, maybe ask “How Do I?”  We have the answer here at BLAC–  here are the top 5 ways to stunt in your white!

Classic white Button-Up

You can never go wrong with a crisp white button up paired with some casual slacks or jeans. white button-ups aren’t just for pant suits in the boardroom anymore, they’re perfect for dinner with friends, or a PTA meeting at your kid’s school.

See how Kimberly Dobine of Posh and Popular, paired hers with lime green colored slacks and casual Gucci sneakers.

White Pants

If you’re a little on the adventurous side, a pair of white pants (or jeans) are golden. You can easily pair your trousers with colors such as browns, burgundies and dark oranges or even greens to help transition white into a new season.

Take a look at The Dress Up, a pair of white slacks coupled with a black blazer and blue button up. This look can easily go from the workplace to happy hour with coworkers.

Karen Brit Chick, on instagram, went with a street style look created with a t-shirt, joggers and sneakers. This look is perfect for running errands or a day of shopping at Neiman Marcus!
