The Story

Sadena Parks starred at the University of Washington — setting a women's course record 66 as a junior — before winning twice on the 2014 Symetra Tour and finishing fourth on the money list, becoming the first African American to earn an LPGA Tour card through that tour and just the fifth Black woman ever to hold one. She won THE JOHN SHIPPEN Women's Invitational in 2022, then teamed with 2021 winner Anita Uwadia at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational — the first SHIPPEN champions to make a cut in an event earned through the SHIPPEN.
