The John Shippen National Invitational, played at Detroit Golf Club, awards Black professionals exemptions into PGA Tour and LPGA events — and pairs the golf with a national Black business pitch competition.

Tiffany Fitzgerald's Black Girls Golf has grown into a national network introducing thousands of Black women to the game — clinics, community, and business golf.

Founded in 1986, the National Black Golf Hall of Fame preserves the legacy of the players, teachers, and builders who carried the game through exclusion.

PGA WORKS

To diversify the golf industry's workforce.

PGA WORKS drives career access across the golf industry, including the PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship — the premier championship for HBCU and minority-serving-institution golf.

United Golfers Association

The historic Black golf tour (1925–1975) that sustained the game through segregation.

When the PGA enforced its Caucasian-only clause, the UGA gave Black golfers — Ted Rhodes, Charlie Sifford, Althea Gibson and hundreds more — a place to compete for fifty years.

Western States Golf Association

One of the oldest Black golf associations in America.

Founded in 1954, the WSGA connects Black golf clubs across the western U.S. with tournaments, junior golf, and scholarships.
