LaJean Gould

The Story

LaJean Gould is the founder and president of the Women in Golf Foundation, the Atlanta-based nonprofit that has expanded opportunities for women and girls in golf for three decades. Under her leadership the foundation has run the National Women's Collegiate Golf Championship — whose trophy bears her name, the LaJean Gould Cup — for more than 30 years, supporting women's golf at HBCUs and contributing over $340,000 to collegiate women's programs. A Fisk University and University of Michigan graduate, Gould represents the institutional side of this history: building the stages the next generation competes on.
