BLAC celebrates love and congratulates Simone Toney and Robert Nunoo on their entrance into wedded bliss.

Simone is an office operations manager for Ford Motor Company and Robert is a data scientist engineer for Rockwell Automation. The couple lives in Chicago and honeymooned between Miami and Key West. Here, they share details from their elegant wedding day.

The dress
“I wore a white A-line gown with a low-cut back from Bella Bianca Bridal Couture in Chicago. It had great detail like intricate beadwork, sequins and lace. It was easily the best thing I’ve ever worn!”
The tuxes
“They were custom-ordered from London. Each of the groomsmen are from different parts of the country, so this was the easiest way to get matching tuxes. Then Robert added accents from his Ghanaian culture to his, like a proper kinte print bow tie, socks and a pocket square.”
The food
“The Westin Book Cadillac provided the delicious food. They provided duet plates of salmon and filet mignon with mashed potatoes and green beans.”
The cake
“We enjoyed white cake with fresh strawberry filling that we got from The Pastry Palace in Wixom. It was the hit of the day, along with our amazing DJ!”
The favors
“Bubbles! We also handed out lovely wine stoppers with our engagement photo as the topper.”
Most memorable moment
“Robert’s speech was definitely my most memorable moment. He is typically quiet and reserved, but his speech was so funny, genuine and loving, and it really solidified our love for one another.”
