Helping Black And Brown Kids – It Takes A Village Baby Shower

It Takes a Village, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that focuses on improving the social outcomes for Black and Brown children in Memphis. They aim to provide support and resources for families and children in need, especially those living in poverty. The non-profit is hosting their first ever event, It Takes a Village- Community Family Baby Shower, is an opportunity for the community to come together and support families in need.

The event takes place on Saturday, April 29, from 11am to 4pm CDT, at 505 Tillman Street, Memphis, TN 38112.

The event will feature providers of color, including a Family Medicine doctor, a Pediatrician who specializes in special needs, a Dentist, and more. These providers will speak to the guests in attendance and there will be a Q&A following. In addition, there will be informational booths from community nonprofits, including a bank to speak about financial literacy, the American Red Cross, the Shelby County Health Department, and more.

The baby shower is just one of the many events and initiatives that the organization hosts throughout the year. They are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children and families in Memphis.
