The University of Memphis and Bank of America have partnered to launch the FCBE Career Fellows Program for Black/African American undergraduate business students.
The program aims to prepare students for professional success by providing opportunities for professional development, job shadowing, resume and interview workshops, internships, and career opportunities. Through this partnership, the University of Memphis hopes to eliminate the graduation gap and promote economic mobility for Black student graduates. Bank of America’s President for Memphis, Trevia Chatman, emphasized the importance of providing career opportunities for underrepresented minorities.
The inaugural cohort of FCBE Career Fellows includes rising junior business students who will have the opportunity to develop their skills through paid internships at Bank of America’s Memphis Financial Center locations and other organizations throughout the city, as well as mentorship from senior executives and networking events. The FCBE Career Fellows Program is a testament to the University of Memphis and Bank of America’s commitment to driving opportunities for people and communities of color and promoting economic mobility through education and career readiness.
