Pumpkin, citrus and a little heat are sharing the bar at The Spot Lounge & Bar this fall.

The Houston gathering place has added five seasonal cocktails to its menu, moving from bourbon and mint to pumpkin, peach, apple and rum. The limited-time collection, called Sips of the Season, began Sept. 22.

Falling for You starts with bourbon and gives the whiskey sour a lighter edge with lemon, mint and a touch of sweetness. The Great Pumpkin takes a creamier route, pairing pumpkin purée with añejo tequila and citrus.

For more heat, Peach and Fire combines peach liqueur and vodka with ginger beer. Apple of My Eye layers cognac, Grand Marnier and apple liqueur with sweet-and-sour. The lineup closes with Pumpkin Rum Punch, which mixes dark and light rum with pumpkin purée, orange juice and lime.

The drinks join The Spot’s year-round cocktail menu, including the fruit-forward Skittles and the watermelon-and-tequila Pink Panther.

“The Spot has always been about community, energy, and great drinks,” co-owner Adfanie Smith Gray said in the announcement. “This fall, we’re giving people even more reasons to stop by and make us part of their celebrations.”

The Spot was co-founded in 2006 and is located at 2003 Emancipation Ave. in Houston. Its official website lists hours as 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 2 a.m. Sunday.

The seasonal menu is intended for adults 21 and older and is available for a limited time. Before heading over, check The Spot’s official website or Instagram page for current availability and hours.
