The Savoy in Houston’s Third Ward is planning a free family Trunk-or-Treat on Friday, Oct. 30, as part of its Halloween programming.

According to an Oct. 7 press release provided by the venue, the event will run from 4 to 8 p.m. at 4402 Emancipation Ave. The planned activities include a kid-friendly haunted house, Trunk-or-Treat, Savoy candy bags, giveaways, kids sliders, moonwalks and inflatables.

The venue also announced a limited-time menu of six Halloween cocktails available during October. A separate adults-focused Halloween celebration is planned for Saturday, Oct. 31, but the full schedule and contest rules were not included in the source material available to BLAC for this review. Those details should be confirmed with the organizer before they are added to the published story or public calendar.

The Savoy is co-owned by Claire “Long” Watson and Black Watson. Independent industry and local reporting identify Watson as a co-owner of the Third Ward bar and restaurant, and the venue’s history traces its current operation to Black and Long Enterprises.

Readers can check The Savoy’s official events page for organizer updates.
