The Black-owned, movie-themed steakhouse brings a more affordable option to its upscale dining experience.
BLAC Brief | Houston
Behind a movie theater-inspired entrance on Westheimer Road, Juliet Steakhouse has built a dining experience that feels more like a night at the movies than a traditional steakhouse.
Founded by entrepreneur Jamie Allen, the Black-owned Houston restaurant combines Old Hollywood glamour, an Art Deco-inspired interior and a menu known for steaks, seafood and cocktails.
Now, its weekday happy hour gives diners a chance to experience Juliet without committing to a full steakhouse dinner.
Available Monday through Friday from opening until 7:30 p.m., the menu features an $11 truffle burger made with a six-ounce beef patty, Gruyere cheese, mushrooms, balsamic syrup and truffle aioli. Oysters are $2 each, with a six-oyster minimum.
Other happy hour options include beef sliders, Nashville hot chicken sandwiches, fried Brussels sprouts, crispy Thai chile shrimp, tacos and gnocchi with black truffle cream sauce.
Drink specials include $5 select wines and bottled beers, $7 well drinks and $9 featured cocktails.
The restaurant’s concept is part of what makes it stand out. Guests enter through a vintage cinema-style space before stepping into a dining room designed around the glamour of classic Hollywood.
Juliet has also expanded beyond Houston, bringing its movie-themed dining concept to Dallas.
For Houston diners, the happy hour offers a less expensive introduction to one of the city’s distinctive Black-owned dining destinations.
