If you’re looking to support Black-owned businesses in Memphis, the 4th annual I Love Whitehaven Black Restaurant Week is the must-experience festival in the city. The festival highlights the best Black-owned restaurants in Whitehaven, Memphis and includes a Jazz and Juneteenth event mid-week.

Juneteenth commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and celebrates our heritage. It is a federal holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and celebrating our heritage. What better way to celebrate than by supporting Black-owned businesses?

The festival runs from June 12–19, 2022 and includes a Jazz and Juneteenth event mid-week. Participating restaurants include:

Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, Jubilee Day, Liberation Day, and Emancipation Day, is an American holiday that commemorates the June 19, 1865, announcement of the abolition of slavery in Texas. This day marks the final emancipation of slaves in the United States. It is a state holiday observed in 41 states.

Celebrate with good food and music! Commemorate African American freedom and achievement!

This holiday is a great opportunity to celebrate Black-owned businesses and cuisine. So mark your calendars and come out to support Black-owned businesses in Memphis!
