DSO Welcomes jessica Care moore to Present New Visceral Operatic Work ‘Wild Beauty’

This Friday, October 21 at 8 p.m. in The Peter D. and Julie F. Cummings Cube, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra welcomes poet, producer, director and thespian, jessica Care moore to present a visceral new operatic work titled Wild Beauty

“Wild Beauty,” features vocalists Kisma Jordan, and Ideeyah with a full musical ensemble, who will all be a part of this magical evening full on sonic storytelling, rooted in our resilience as humans through the power of love and cultural memory. 

This event is a collaboration between moore and 2022 Kresge Artist Fellow, composer, arranger, and saxophonist De’Sean Jones. 

Poet jessica Care moore explores love, loss, isolation, and the need for laughter in this visceral new operatic work.
