The Business

Detroit Book City is a small, independent book store that specialize & market books, media & events to the African-American consumer market. We carry new and gently used adult and children books i.e. self-help, black-consciousness, spiritual, how-to's, urban-fiction, memoirs, biographies & much more!!! We also sell books written by local and national Indie Authors plus rare hard-to-find and out-of-print African-American books. We also sell CDs, DVDs, t-shirts, candles, incense, mugs, African body oils and soaps, and games. We have a large collection of books written by Detroit Black Indie Authors. We host 3-4 family book expos every year featuring local & national African-American Book Authors in addition to setting up at local festivals, schools, conferences and other community locations.
