“I’m the morning anchor, one of the many morning anchors at Fox 2 right here in Detroit. I anchor at 8 a.m., you might see me at 7 p.m. and then 9–11 and maybe soon at noon. That’s a hot take, breaking news.”

The Emmy Award-winning reporter, host on “The Nine” and morning anchor on the Fox 2 News Team made her way to Detroit from WEWS, the ABC Affiliate in Cleveland, Ohio, where she reported for ESPN when Lebron James took his talents to the South Beach and stood by as Clevelanders burned their No. 23 jerseys and dragged them behind their cars.

“I’m definitely a millennial, but I’d say urban or Metropolitan Chic. I am from Atlanta, so I like the bold colors, bold prints, the lime greens and the oranges and pinks. That’s me all day for sure,” says Lue when asked to describe her style. “But I like to mix that with a professional look so you might see me in a Burberry top, something that’s labeled that that kids would recognize. That’s what I pair with something simple or very casual that I’ve probably had for 15 years as I still have all of my clothes from high school. Honestly. So I mix and match. That’s my style.”

Lue grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and graduated with honors from Hampton University’s Scripps Howard School of Journalism and Communication. Her first real TV job was in hills of West Virginia at NBC station WVVA in West Virginia. “My inspiration comes from my southern roots. I like big hair, high heels and handbags,” says Lue. “I’m also from the Reco Chapple (House of Chapple)/Destiny’s Child era, so I love form-fitting gowns and dresses with intricate embellishments.”

“There’s no town like Motown. like Dorothy from the ‘Wizard of Oz,’ I feel like I have been clicking my heels and trying to get to The Motor City for years — and now I am finally here! I have been visiting friends and family in Metro Detroit for years, anD, now, I feel like I am home.”
