It used to be that hosiery just meant one thing; keeping legs warm. However, options were often limited to two shades of black and tan; often images of women plaster in the front of stockings and hosiery brands were all thin, white, blonde and busty. Today, thanks to Black designers and founders, the options of stockings and hosiery has changed. Stockings and hosiery isn’t for just wearing a dress anymore; wearing stockings can be provocative and fun with lots of options to choose. BLAC has curated a short list of five Black-owned Hosiery and stockings brands that are changing the world, one fishnet, and back-seamed tight at a time.
