Nappi Devi: Building in Public · Chapter One
The introduction, in his own words.
BLAC Music begins a first-person series with Detroit artist Nappi Devi. He shot the opening chapter himself on August 6, 2026 — thirty-one seconds, straight to camera, setting out who he is and what the rest of the series will follow.

The update
There is no preamble to Chapter One. Nappi Devi picks up the camera, holds it close, and opens with a question — “You wanna know what’s, like, mad cool?” — before answering it himself: he is partnering with BLAC to show his artist journey as it happens.
What follows is the shortest possible version of an introduction. He is from the east side of Detroit. He writes, performs, raps and sings, and he has been doing it at open mics and venue shows around the city for a while now. That is the whole of the biography he offers, and this series will not put words in his mouth beyond it.
The rest is a statement of intent. He wants to show how he has progressed as an artist — the writing, the studio, the making of the thing — and he is clear that this is not a highlight reel but the ordinary shape of his days. Each chapter will carry his own video, his own photographs and a written update, in his own order of importance.
